The Mystery Years in the Corsair's History

1980-1989

Again, Jay Britt (Asst. Coach from 1984-1990) recalls the Corsair still being at Riverside.  One theory is that NU parted ways with the boat just prior to the move from Riverside Boat Club facilities  to the new Henderson Boathouse in 1989.

1990-1996

Whereabouts mostly unknown.

In the 2026 restoration project, a label was found on the Corsair that said "Lincoln Park Boat Club, Club Owned Equipment, Chicago IL".  It appears the Corsair made it to the LPBC sometime in the 1990's.

Prior to 1997 the Corsair was discovered on the grounds of the Occoquan Boat Club in Virginia.  NU made arrangements to reacquire the boat from there.  Still looking to find out more info on where and how the Corsair got to these two locations.

Lincoln Park Boat Club Label found.  Surmise, LPBC owned the Corsair in the 1990's
